I have some questions:

Did you use Live Trace?

Or did you ink all of it just using the pen tool? And since I am not too familiar with Adobe Illustrator, was this pen tool a separate physical attachment to the computer via a tablet or something like it, or just the mouse using the pen tool option?

It is excellent. I am trying to ink my own book. Check some of the art under Modmyth1, it's only 2 scanned pages.
